any comment about personal conduct that's backed up by "it says so in such and such book" (published by the WTS), despite no mention of it in the bible.

with april's rediculous generation renewal, the hyped 2012, then the 100th aniversary of 1914 two years later, the continued increase and spread of internet use, the age of the gb, and the lackluster of the rank n file, i give it 8-10 years before the whole show collapses.. .

yeah thats kind of what i meant. either that, or that they see that happening and call it all off just before that. i suppose i am a wishful thinker!

i no longer read doctrine threads or much of anything in the way of jw issues.

the jw's annual report has lots of numbers to consider, but this one is probably the most misquoted and misrepresented by them.. 1, 500, 000, 000 hours in the field (note: that's time in the field, not talking to interested ones).

now, they can write their own rules on how to fill out a field service report.

door to door - 8 hours (480 minutes) using the 'dissed rule' of 10% that's 48 minutes of actual talking in the field per month.

well i think it depends on the type of territory too. in higher density, unilingual areas its probably alot more then in rural areas or second language congs. foreign language groups spend 80% of their service time finding and databasing speakers of that language. but on average i think the "Dissed rule" :P is pretty accurate, if not too generous still.
